Our E-Bike pedal assist bikes are the perfect way to get around Narooma and the surrounding areas as no only are they environmentally friendly but they are also a great way to get closer to nature and experience the great outdoors.  They also make cycling so much easier allowing the Teen Team to enjoy their ride and have fun!

Our Teen Tours lead tour guide for this e-bike tour is a local Aboriginal teenager.   The aim is for the Teen Team to learn all about the local Aboriginal culture and what it is like to be a teenager living in Narooma.  They will find about the local Aboriginal history of the area and hear dream time stories unique to the Yuin people.

The first stop on the tour is the Bar Rock Lookout.   There are some fantastic views from here out to Baranguba (Montague Island) and up the coast to Potato Point.  Australia Rock is the perfect place to take some great photos and then a favourite stop for all Teen Tours is the seal colony of Australian fur seals who have made their home on the Narooma Bar rock wall - these Sea Doggos never fail to entertain whether they are basking on the rocks or frolicking in the waves.

From here the tour follows the 21 km round trip cycle path to Dalmeny stopping at numerous view points along the way.   The Teen Team will learn all about Aboriginal bush tucker, ancient food sources and sustainable practices which protect mother earth such as cultural burning and why it is done, what is a totem and why each person must protect their totem and so much more.   What are songlines and what is the significance of Gulaga (Mount Dromedary) as the last of the Seven Sister mountains who traverse the length of Australia.  How are Aboriginal family structures different e.g. "Aunty's" and the respect for their elders and what is a welcome to country and why is it done.

The Teen Tour stops in Dalmeny for a quick snack before returning to Narooma.   Each Teen Team member will be given the opportunity to lead the pack encouraging team building and getting to know each other.

If you would like to give back to the local Aboriginal Community please donate to the Narooma Red Cross who work closely with the local Aboriginal Community.   All proceeds donated to the Narooma Red Cross Branch are spent locally.  Please contact us for more information.
